General Summary:

Our online programming department is growing fast. We need a talented and experienced PHP programmer who can create dynamic small and large real estate-related Web sites. The candidate should understand an e-commerce programming environment and be able to produce great work based on the numerous creative ideas that we envision. To ensure that our corporate goals are accomplished on schedule, the PHP Programmer will perform the following tasks:

  • Create high quality Web sites together with our design team
  • Produce and maintain code documentation
  • Help create and code new marketing tools
  • Contribute with new marketing ideas

Requirements:

To perform the essential duties of the PHP Programmer, an individual must have:

  • Excellent knowledge of the following applications:
    • Object-oriented PHP 5 Web developer
    • MySQL, UNIX/Linux, Subversion and LAMP toolset
    • Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop
    • CSS
    • HTML/Javascript/AJAX
  • Good knowledge of XML/SOAP
  • An understanding of version control

System Engineer


General Summary:

One of America's leading online real estate companies needs an experienced System Engineer to be responsible for the creation of comprehensive, well-analyzed functional specifications used by software engineers, QA specialists and other stakeholders as a blueprint for creating software applications that meet or exceed project requirements. All other software development work will be measured for accuracy and completeness against these specifications.

To ensure that our goals are accomplished on schedule, the System Engineer will:

  • Write comprehensive functional specifications from requirements documents and input from other domain and technical design sources
  • Insure accuracy, completeness, clarity and simplification of functional specifications
  • Present functional specifications to internal stakeholders for review/acceptance and compliance with requirements
  • Revise functional specifications as necessary throughout the development lifecycle
  • Provide development expertise in bridging domain requirements to developer/QA-ready functional specifications
  • Create well-defined, well-written and well-organized functional specifications
  • Conduct analytical review meetings as required to acquire the details needed to write functional specifications
  • Facilitate the clarification of functional specification issues as they arise during the development process
  • Create visual models, charts, flow diagrams and other specification components that facilitate simplification and abstraction
  • Create initial business object (entity) diagrams that can be used to initiate database design
  • Create user interface mockups and associated behavioral rules to define navigation, validation, data relationships and trigger events
  • Define business rules such as formulas, algorithms, data queries, process steps and decision points
  • Present functional specifications to internal stakeholders
  • Identify exception conditions and alternate use case paths not identified in requirements documentation
  • Provide report layouts, filters, groupings, subtotals and data mapping rules
  • Define impact of enhancement/project to other integrated applications
  • Maintain revision history
  • Define glossary of significant terms as a component part of the functional specification
  • Insure traceability of requirements throughout the functional specification

Requirements:

To perform the essential duties of the System Engineer position,
an individual must:

  • BS/BA in computer science, informatics or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two or more years of experience developing functional specifications for commercial software products
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Strong abstraction, organization and simplification skills
  • Detailed understanding of business processes
  • Commercial software development experience
  • Knowledge of fundamental relational database design concepts
  • Ability to read and interpret fundamental SQL queries

User Interface (UI) Designer


General Summary:

One of America's leading online real estate companies needs an experienced User Interface (UI) Designer to work hand-in-hand with its programming and design teams. Working collaboratively with programmers, designers, backend developers and other related staff, the UI Designer will design and develop interfaces for various Web projects.

Data Aggregation Specialist


General Summary:

One of America's leading online real estate companies seeks a highly motivated and talented individual to fill a newly-formed position, Data Aggregation and Integration Specialist. In this capacity the qualified candidate will be responsible for creating new data relationships with Multiple Listing Service (MLS) providers, real estate boards, companies and brands, as well as government agencies and more. In addition, he or she will consult with — and work alongside — the existing data and development teams to seamlessly integrate these data sources into the current company databases and product offering.

Requirements:

Candidates must have experience consulting with high-level companies and be able to craft proposals, negotiate contracts and deal with executive relations. He or she must also possess keen development and database management skills. JAVA and SQL experience are a must. This person will split his or her time between consultative activities and actual development.

Experience with large scale enterprise database performance, data transformation and augmentation, business process management, and enterprise Web application development are essential.  Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, be able to manage multiple projects independently and communicate to both developers and executives alike.

Linux Systems Administrator


General Summary:

Our Information Technology (IT) department requires a Linux Systems Administrator with a strong interest in problem solving and motivation in a wide range of technical tasks and projects. As a member of the production support team, the candidate will be responsible for providing systems and database administration support in a 24x7 operational environment.

The responsibilities of this position are:

  • Provide SA  related solutions for various projects and operational needs
  • Install new or rebuild existing servers in accordance with standards and project  /operational requirements
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
