Pinehurst is a city in Shoshone County, Idaho, United States. Located at the west end of the Silver Valley mining region, its population was 1,619 at the 2010 census.
Pinehurst is located at 47°32′14″N 116°14′14″W (47.537193, -116.237085). at an elevation of 2,224 feet (678 m) above sea level.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.05 square miles (2.72 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 1,619 people, 721 households, and 458 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,541.9 inhabitants per square mile (595.3/km2). There were 810 housing units at an average density of 771.4 per square mile (297.8/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 96.4% White, 0.1% African American, 1.0% Native American, 0.8% Asian, 0.2% from other races, and 1.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.5% of the population.
There were 721 households of which 26.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.0% were married couples living together, 7.8% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.7% had a male householder with no wife present, and 36.5% were non-families.
