Kempner is a city in Lampasas County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,089 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Killeen–Temple–Fort Hood Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Former State Representative Suzanna Hupp lives in Kempner with her family. She was a survivor of the infamous Luby's shooting of 1991 in Killeen.

The racial makeup of the city was 84.86% White, 6.37% African American, 0.90% Native American, 1.79% Asian, 0.20% Pacific Islander, 3.29% from other races, and 2.59% from two or more races.
