According to the 2010 census, Lakemoor has a total area of 5.253 square miles (13.61 km2), of which 5.01 square miles (12.98 km2) (or 95.37%) is land and 0.243 square miles (0.63 km2) (or 4.63%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,788 people, 1,014 households, and 717 families residing in the village. The population density was 651.4 people per square mile (251.5/km²).
