Newburgh is a town in Penobscot County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,551 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 31.03 square miles (80.37 km2), of which, 31.01 square miles (80.32 km2) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km2) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 1,551 people, 621 households, and 445 families living in the town. The population density was 50.0 inhabitants per square mile (19.3/km2). There were 659 housing units at an average density of 21.3 per square mile (8.2/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.9% White, 0.5% African American, 0.5% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 0.5% from other races, and 0.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.8% of the population.
