Shady Shores is a town in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,612 at the 2010 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.9 square miles (7.5 km2), of which 2.9 square miles (7.5 km2) is land and 0.34% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,461 people, 532 households, and 403 families residing in the town. The population density was 504.1 people per square mile (194.5/km2). There were 592 housing units at an average density of 204.3 per square mile (78.8/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 96.58% White, 0.14% African American, 0.48% Native American, 0.21% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 1.57% from other races, and 0.96% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.71% of the population.
There were 532 households, out of which 40.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.4% were married couples living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.2% were non-families. 19.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
