Olathe is a Statutory Town in Montrose County, Colorado, United States. The population was 1,849 at the 2010 census. A post office called Olathe has been in operation since 1896. The community was named after Olathe, Kansas.
Olathe is located at 38°36′23″N 107°58′52″W.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), all of it land. It is located at the foot of a plateau. The San Juan mountains are south of the town. Adobes to the east commonly used for recreational vehicles such as dirt bikes and four wheelers.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,573 people, 520 households, and 383 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,186.8 people per square mile (456.6/km2). There were 571 housing units at an average density of 430.8 per square mile (165.8/km2).
