Senath (SEE-nəth) is a city in Dunklin County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,767 at the 2010 census.
Senath was founded in 1882. It is named after an early settler, Asenath Douglass, who was commonly called Senath and in whose family her Bible-derived name Asenath was pronounced with a long "e" and with stress on the second syllable. A post office called Senath has been in operation since 1881.
Senath is located at 36°8′0″N 90°9′36″W (36.133308, -90.160078). The city lies in the southwestern Bootheel just southwest of Kennett along U.S. Route 412. Senath is traversed by State Highway P, which runs along Commercial Street.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.92 square miles (4.97 km2), all land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 1,767 people, 661 households, and 433 families living in the city. The population density was 920.3 inhabitants per square mile (355.3/km2). There were 765 housing units at an average density of 398.4 per square mile (153.8/km2).
