Greenwood is a village in McHenry County, Illinois, United States. It was incorporated as a village on 4 April 1995. The population was 255 at the 2010 census.

As of the census of 2000, there were 244 people, 84 households, and 66 families residing in the village. The population density was 156.6 people per square mile (60.4/km2). There were 86 housing units at an average density of 55.2 per square mile (21.3/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 93.03% White, 2.46% Asian, 0.82% from other races, and 3.69% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.56% of the population.
There were 84 households, out of which 34.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.3% were married couples living together, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.4% were non-families. 16.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
